Matthew Wood Psychotherapy and Counselling

A man with long, ash-toned hair and a khaki jacket sits on a park bench. He looks directly at the camera with a mild, relaxed expression. The background shows trees and the ground is covered with fallen autumn leaves.

Need to talk to someone?

Perhaps you are feeling stressed, anxious or depressed. You may be struggling with a relationship at home or at work. Or maybe things just don’t seem to add up anymore.

I am Matthew Wood and I can offer you confidential and supportive counselling and psychotherapy. I work with individual adults in person in Bloomsbury, central London (WC1), online and over the phone.

I decided to train as a psychotherapist after losing my sight in my forties. This transition taught me that it can be more helpful to understand our emotional distress as a response to our circumstances, not just as the symptoms of a dysfunction located somewhere ‘between our ears.’ On this site you can read more about who I am and how I work.

If you are ready to take the first step I invite you to arrange a free initial consultation. Please get in touch, I’m ready to listen.
